No fewer than 30 parents of yet-to-return Chibok girls had
arrived the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, Abeokuta, to visit a
former president, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo.
The dreaded Boko Haram sect had invaded Government Girls
Secondary School, Chibok, Borno State and took away 276 pupils on April
14, 2014.
Some of the girls had regained their freedom while others are yet to be released by the terrorists.
The parents had appealed to Obasanjo to use his regional
and global influence and work with the federal government to ensure
their daughters were also released to reunite with them.
They added that this call became necessary as many of the Dapchi girls had been released by their abductors.
