Former President Olusegun Obasanjo and
National Chairman of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Olu Falae, on Tuesday,
met at the Obasanjo Presidential Library in Abeokuta.
Reports
indicate that the close-door meeting which commenced around 12:pm had in
attendance Gboyega Isiaka, Ogun state governorship aspirant, and a former
commissioner for information in the state, Sina Kawonishe.
Also, a
former Presidential spokesperson to former President Goodluck Jonathan, Doyin
Okupe was sighted by newsmen rushing into the venue of the meeting.
Every
effort to get access to the meeting was unsuccessful as armed policemen did not
allow newsmen and any other person to go near the staircase leading to the
meeting .
However,
sources indicate that the meeting involves a discussion over the 2019
presidential elections as Obasanjo’s third force movement seeks a political
platform which Falae’s SDP offers.
