The man was stabbed to death by his first wife of 20 years, Hauwa who is popularly known as “Chamba”, in the incident which happened in the early hours of Tuesday.

According to Facebook user,  Abdulrahman Njidda Yebbi, Hauwa, who the deceased has 5 children with, had on several occasions threatened her husband with death, accusing him of favouritism and unequal treatment between her and the second wife.
The body of the deceased has however been deposited at the Ganye General Hospital.

Abdulrahman Njidda Yebbi wrote on the fight between the wives:

"Just In: Sad News From Ganye LGA

Domestic Violence is now on the increase the world over and men seem to be the victims, people! The so-called weaker sex is not weak after all as husband’s killers have radically changed the equation.

Such is what we witnessed today in Ganye General Hospital when Adamu Dewa, Dirdeu village, Ganye Local Government Area was stabbed this morning at Dirdeu by his 1st wife while trying to separate a fight between her and his 2nd wife.
His 1st wife, Hauwa who is popularly known as “Chamba”, was married to the victim over 20 years ago and they have not less than 5 children together. She’s reported to have threatened her husband with death on several occasions, accusing him of favouritism and unequal treatment between her and the 2nd wife."

Recall that in 2017, Bilyamin Bello, a son of  former Peoples Democratic Party Chairman, Haliru Bello, was also stabbed to death by his wife, Maryam Sanda. Sanda is the daughter of embattled former Aso Savings Bank boss, Hajia Maimuna Aliyu.

The attack, it was gathered, resulted from an allegation of infidelity against Bilyamin by his wife after she saw a text message on his phone.
